Senior Mekhi Eiland nabbed five catches for 105 yards and a touchdown, junior Ja'Vontay Bright rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and junior Tim Shannon ran for 75 yards and a touchdown on six carries, but the Chargers varsity squad lost 34-18 to Leo on Friday.

Marian Catholic proved rude visitors for the Saint Joseph varsity football team's 安徽快3时时彩coming game on Sept. 20, beating the 安徽快3时时彩 squad 49-0. The JV team fared a bit better, falling to Marian by a score of 26-8.

St. Joe's varsity football team beat Guerin Prep 47-18 Saturday in River Grove. The Chargers varsity football team rolled to its first victory of the season with a resounding 47-18 road win Saturday over Guerin Prep in River Grove. Among the many highlights, senior running back Trazon Tims ran one in from 47 yards out, senior wide receiver Naqi Shaheed-Owens scored on a 40-yard run, junior quarterback Ezekiel Boose punched in a touchdown on a fake field goal and senior defensive back Meiki Eiland took an interception to the house on an attempted screen pass. Head coach Adam Polak's squad returns to the gridiron in an away contest against St. Viator in Arlington Heights. The JV game kicks off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity tussle at 7 p.m.

Coach Polak The Chargers had high expectations for the 2017-2018 season after making the playoffs the previous season.  The Chargers began the campaign against Elmwood Park, in which they lost a tough-fought game. The team would respond with a vengeance and win games in weeks two and three. The following game would end in a disappointing loss, but the team responded again with a win in week five. The remainder of the season would leave the team with plenty of highs and lows but the team was ultimately unable to achieve another win leading up to their loss to Leo.

The St. Joseph Junior Varsity Football Team compiled a 4-3 record in the 2017-2018 season. What this team lacked in roster size, these boys made up for with heart. This JV team was filled with a lot of talent that will develop into great varsity football players. After overcoming many obstacles this season, the Chargers finished with a huge 50-38 victory over Aurora Christian.
